Lash Extension Aftercare Instructions

Lash Extension Aftercare:

-Keep lashes dry for 24 hours following each application, this includes steam, and intense workouts.

-Keep all oils away from the eye area. There are oils on your fingers, so the less you touch them, the longer they will last.

-Wash your face around your eyes, and cleanse your eye area separately with a makeup brush and oil free cleanser.

-Sleep on your back as much as possible.

-Do not put your face directly under the shower stream. Wear sunglasses in heavy winds.

-NEVER PULL, TWIST OR RUB THE LASHES. To straighten them out, comb from the middle, and outward to the ends only.

-Get regular fills, every 2-3 weeks.

-If you experience any eye redness after your extension service, and would like to use eye drops, it is important that you use lubricating eye drops, rather than redness removal eye drops.

*If you experience itching or swelling after application, take allergy medicine, and text or call Lakewood Lash immediately. You may need your extensions removed, this will stop the reaction.  720-234-4251

Ps. Once the adhesive has cured it is ok to get them wet, swim, etc.  And, it IS necessary to cleanse them regularly to keep your eyes bright and healthy.

Wintertime: Beware of extreme cold, your lash adhesive may freeze before it is fully cured!

Summertime: Beware of barbeques! The intense heat that comes out when BBQ is opened may singe your lashes!

For Longer Lasting Eyelash Extensions:

Do not wear any eye makeup.

Thoroughly cleanse your lashes with a lash cleanser or and brush every other day.

If you do choose to wear liner or mascara, use ONLY products SPECIFICALLY designed for lash extensions. *Wet powdered shadows (oil free) work well as eyeliner, and are extension safe.

Anytime you wear any eye makeup near your lashes, they must be cleansed thoroughly, before you go to sleep, with an approved lash cleanser.  Otherwise, any residue will cause the lash adhesive to break down.

The extensions can “last” up to 5 weeks but usually require a fill within 2-3 weeks. As your lashes shed naturally (2-3 per day) you will start to see gaps. So, get regular fills.

If you carefully remove every stitch of makeup from lashes prior to your fill, (this includes foundation) you will get more lashing time. *Try to keep foundation away from your lashes, it usually contains oils, and the oils will break down the adhesive.
